Mini Golf Course at the Pool!
-----
Hello! My 9-year-old son, Nicholas (Nico), has spent some time at Tuckahoe Recreation Club in McLean and would like to recommend (BEG??!!) Dominion Hills to create a mini golf course on the property. Tuckahoe (https://tuckahoe.net/) has a mini golf course in the yard near the pools and it's a great activity for when people need a break from swimming. He has inspected the DHARA grounds and has deemed several areas golf-course-worthy! I'm sure he would even help design it, if given the chance -- this is a kid who is VERY serious about golf. Please contact us if there is any chance of this ever happening!
Thanks!

Fall lunch time adult swim
-----
When the pool hours change in the fall, can there be an adult lap lunch time swim between 11:30-1:30 M-F. The morning lap lanes are very full and the lanes fill at 4:00 very quickly. I realize the guards are back at school but could we have a manager like the early bird swim? When asking other members before sending this, there is a lot of lap swimmer support. Thank you

Digital POS
-----
This would work for both the Quack Shack and the home swim meet concessions: A digital Point of Sale unit. We frequently run out of singles at the concessions stand during meets. Additionally, most other pools seem to have added these (at least from what I can see during away meets). Plus: it's 2024. Cash is dead!

Keep pool open during dive meet/lap lane usage
-----
It may be a requirement for the dive league, and understand why it’s closed during swim meets, but it seems like the pool should remain open during dive meets. Only the dive tank is in use and the other 80% of the pool remains unused. Again, being 100% unaware of dive meet requirements, there could be a good reason it’s closed. But it does seem like the dive/swim/lap lane contingent get catered to. Maintaining three laps lanes - about half of the main pool capacity in busy days seems overly restrictive. Sorry to vent.

Better speakers or kill the music
-----
Please spend a few hundred dollars on a few surround speakers around the fence or turn off the music. Most of the deck just hears noise from the current speaker approach.
Leaving aside choices of music and other considerations, it’s extremely loud when you are close to the speaker and noise elsewhere.
-----
Acoustics are terrible good speakers aren’t that pricey anymore

Ducks!
-----
I think you should buy a duck crossing sign and put it outside the entry to the pool.

Lap lanes
-----
Closing one lap lane in the afternoon and opening up the deep end is good. Lap swimming is in less demand in the afternoons. Thanks

Ping Pong Table!
-----
I'm guessing this is already on your radar, but it would be great to have a new ping pong table! The existing one is pretty sad looking.

More candy options for the snack shack
-----
Hello! Two of my favorite candies are air head extremes and nerds gummy clusters, which we don’t have on the current menu. I would really appreciate it if we were able to add those candies to the snack shack, I know a lot of other kids who would also love to have these candies. Thank you so much!

Dog Swim Day
-----
My neighborhood pool frowning up would just a day after the season where dogs were allowed to swim. Could be a good fund raiser.

Post Pool Temps
-----
This is such a small thing, but on cooler days (especially in spring and fall), posting the water temperatures (maybe outside the check in window) is nice to know to help decide if you want to get in the water 🙂

Adult swim/brunch on Sundays
-----
Given how popular and busy the adult swim and brunch on Sundays are, I think it would be great if it could start earlier - at 8 am instead of 9 am.
Thanks for considering!

How do we know when the pool is closed to general admission for events? I could not tell from looking at the calendar online. VERY Important!

Make cleaning the locker rooms a priority
-----
The locker room needs a thorough cleaning (more than a hosing down). The tiles have built up grime and all surfaces should be disinfected. It needs to be periodically cleaned and inspected by the supervisor during the day. If the lifeguards can’t handle it then hire cleaning staff.

Membership
-----
Hi -
I bet there are a lot of members like me. The kids are grown and gone so it’s just me and my husband. He has an old injury that prevents him from swimming. I love the pool but if no one wants to go with me I often skip it. I bet I’ve only been about 10 times per summer for the past 5 or so years. One year during the pandemic I went more often because one kid wanted to go with me. But the point is that it would be amazing if there were different membership options for people like me - longtime member and low frequency user. What about a much reduced fee but limit number of visits or hours? I don’t want to be at the pool during the most popular times!
Sadly I think my membership is on the family budget chopping block even though I hate to let it go. But it doesn’t make sense to spend so much for so little use, and it also doesn’t seem equitable for me to pay the same as a family of 4 or 5 who use the pool so much more. Thanks for considering. I hope this generates some discussion. My fear is that I’ll give up my membership and then soon after the board will create an option that would have persuaded me to stay.
Thanks -

support for front desk staff
-----
Hello - I want to make some suggestions for the front desk:
(1) Have a printout of the pool calendar for that week available at the front desk so front-desk staff can answer questions about pool hours that week, especially if there are exceptions or last minute changes (such as the pool closing early for a meet, or a reschedule of a special event).
(2) Have FAQs available at the front desk to aid the teen staff in answering questions (such as where the lawn games are kept, what the age range for is kids' night, what the kids' night activities are, where movie nights are going to be held, etc). Also, for rookie employees, a how-to list for essential front desk functions like how to manage cash vs. credit card payments for guests. Perhaps long-time returning front desk employees could be assigned to take a first crack at these info sheets based on their experiences!
(3) Post a phone number for the office/life guard table at the front desk so front-desk employees have a way to reach other employees if they need assistance.
Thank you.

Professional duct and fan cleaning

Hello!
Women’s bathroom has black mold growing in it. Can you please hire professional cleaners to clean the ducts, fans, walls and showers. This would make a much safer environment for everyone. Thank you

making hours known
-----
Can you PLEASE come up with a way to make the pool hours known?
On Saturday, I arrived at 3:50 with about 30 other members. The website said the pool closed at 4:30. I checked Twitter-- there were no Tweets. But a sign was up saying the pool was closing at 4:00.
I called the pool today at 1:30. The person who answered said it closes at 9:00. Again, nothing on Twitter. Yet the calendar says it closes at 4:00. Who is right-- the calendar or the front desk?
We've been keeping track this summer and you're closed 50% of the time that we try to go and the information was not readily available.

It would be great to have tennis courts in either adjacent lot space or the front lawn for adults as well as a youth tennis team.

Not sure I understand the need for an additional pool in the front yard—why not a tennis/pickleball facility instead?

Good Trucks & Float Night
-----
Hi! My two ideas are:
Food Truck Fridays; we can have food trucks come on Fridays and members can come and order their dinner and spend the evening at the pool.
Float evening; where swimmers can use floats in the pool for two hours.
